                              Below are steps to troubleshoot your linxCam.

                              Troubleshooting Steps

                              1. Confirm the camera is connected to power.
                              2. Check for the green light to confirm the camera is receiving power when vehicle ignition is on.

                               

                              NOTE: The linxCam has 3 power connection points.

                              1. The barrel connector closest to the camera that connects to the power cable.
                              2. The barrel connector closest to the G-Sensor where the OBD or Hardware Power Connector are attached.
                              3. The Power Connector attachment point to the vehicle.
                                • For OBD devices, this is the OBD port.
                                • For hardwired devices, this will be where red (constant power), orange (switched ignition), and black (ground) wires are connected.

                               

                              1.  If the camera DOES have a green light while vehicle ignition is on, power cycle the camera by removing it from power until this light goes out before reconnecting.
                                • This can take about 2-5 minutes to complete.
                              2. If the camera does NOT have a green light and is not receiving power, install the camera in a second vehicle and confirm whether the light comes on and camera comes back online.
                                • If the camera comes back online in the second vehicle, this suggests the power cable or wiring connection needs to be replaced.
